Dr. Appelhans knows that without a dedicated team backing her up, she wouldn’t be able to provide the care that families in Beaverton deserve. Each of our dental team members has a passion for serving smiles and is committed to making sure every patient feels welcomed, informed, and above all else, confident about their dental care. Effie – Dental Hygienist
Effie brings several years of experience as a dental hygienist to our patients. Her favorite part of her job is helping patients feel confident with their smiles. She earned her dental hygiene degree from Portland Community College and has her certification to administer local anesthesia.
Originally from Boise, Idaho, Effie has five cats and loves to crochet, read, swim, and craft in her free time. An interesting fact about her is that she has an identical twin!
Nancy – Registered Dental Hygienist
Nancy enjoys caring for others and working with her hands, which is why she decided to pursue a career in the dental field. For her education, she went to Portland Community College. The thing that she loves most about her job is how satisfying it feels to clean her patients’ teeth and how happy they are afterward.
Originally from Hillsboro, Nancy enjoys spending time with her younger sister and her partner outside of the office. Her hobbies include cooking, gardening, and spending time at the beach.
Monica – Dental Assistant
Monica is proud of the support and love that our team provides to each patient who walks through our front doors. She graduated from Carrington College.
Monica hails from Northeast Portland, and she is currently a wife and mother to two wonderful children. When she’s not at work, she likes to spend time with her family.
Tracey – Dental Assistant
Tracey loves how her job gives her the opportunity to meet new people! She went to Mt. Hood Community College, and she has been trained in placing dental sealants.
Tracey is originally from Portland, and she has a fun-loving, supportive family. Her interests outside of work include gym workouts, paddleboarding, pickleball, running, golf, and swimming.
Amanda – Front Office Admin
Amanda has been in her field for well over a decade. She loves working with people, and she ended up going to assisting school so that she could work with kids. Her favorite part of her job is connecting with patients and making them feel like family.
Amanda grew up in Aloha, Oregon. She married her high school girlfriend, and together they have three cats and a French bulldog. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming and trying new fads. An interesting fact about her is that she has been on TV and in movies four times!
